Sorbole (service berries) are a traditional Italian autumn fruit, rarely seen outside Italy. Small and pear-shaped, they are eaten when fully ripe and soft, when the flesh turns sweet and aromatic.
How to enjoy: leave at room temperature until soft and brownish, then eat fresh – or use for jams.
